Eastern sialia __sialia sialis__ belongs to the thrush and lives in eastern North and Central America. There it inhabits fields, open forest landscapes, forest edges and parks.

The body length is about 18 cm . The plumage of the upper body is bright blue, the throat, chest and sides are chestnut brown, the belly and underside are painted white.

Sialia feeds on insects, spiders and berries. 

This is the national bird of the states of Missouri and New York, there are even many songs about it
